Cave Backgrounds/ Animation
The cave scenes need to look quite different and Casey and I have been working on a the colour of the backgrounds which both ties the cave to the rest of the film and distinguishes it as a kind of sub-space. I've also been thinking about the differences in texture in the animation, and how that works with the background. Overall it is taking a bit longer going back and forth between the character animation and the backgound design to find a good balance with the contrast, but it's happening. Poi's colour change into a negative space palette is definitely helping to balance it out, so I spent quite a lot of time fiddling with those colours.
